For the SS25 season, Melitta Baumeister drew inspiration from bodies in motion,
exploring how speed can shape and transform both the body and the clothing it wears.

Known for her exploration of bold volumes and expressive silhouettes, Baumeister’s approach
reframes the body, creating a space that challenges conventional ideas of beauty and fit.

This season, the designer emphasized inclusivity by casting models
representing a range of ethnicities, abilities, body types, and ages.

Paralympian and advocate for women athletes with disabilities, Scout Bassett, opened the show
with a sprint down the runway, embodying the strength and dynamism Baumeister sought to convey.

The highly anticipated and critically acclaimed show closed out New York Fashion Week 2024,
and jump-started the designer’s ongoing partnership with Nike.
